A God In Our Own Image

God or an idol?

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24

He longs for us to worship Him in spirit and in truth.  He wants to be known for who He really is and loved for who He really is, not the God we have made Him to be or the God someone else has made Him to be. 

An Idol:  A God in our own image whose revealing of Himself never challenges what we believe about Him against the truth of the word lest we would have to admit what we believe is a lie.
